My name is Loreen Wiley and I have been
principal of Mill Pond School for the past eight years. I have been employed
in the school district for twenty-two years in the capacities of teacher
and assistant principal.
I am a native of this area with Hodgdon
High School being my alma mater. I attended college in Pennsylvania and
received my master's degree in Educational Administration from the University
of Maine at Orono. I then returned to Hodgdon to begin my teaching career.
I am excited about working here and being
an active part of continuing the fine education we offer our students.
Our staff members, students, and communities offer students a caring educational
setting in which to learn.
We provide our students with a solid academic
foundation which prepares them to fulfill the dreams they have. In addition
to the core education the students receive, we also offer art, band, choral,
gifted and talented, French, outdoor education, and computer technology.
We have an after-school program four days
a week for students who wish to attend. We have received high ratings from
the state for our stellar after-school program, which incorporates both
academics and various activities into the program.
I would love to show you around our school
and have you meet some of our students and staff members. If you are interested
in visiting our school, please contact the school office at 532-9228.
